Posted by AJ Miceli on April 25, 2010

Got the boat washed on Saturday before the rain hit. Waxed on Sunday with Judy’s help. Looks like we’ll meet the Monday splash. Phew!

29 Days to Splash/Lake Levels

Posted by AJ Miceli on April 4, 2010

We’ll be sailing in less than a month.  Of course, that means we’re going to have hustle to get the boat ready because the cover is still on the boat as of today.  So, soon I’ll be putting together the to-do list.  With a little help from the faithful crew we’ll wax-on, wax-off, paint the bottom, install the new bowsprit and be ready for the first race, which is Wednesday, May 12th.  Arrrrghghgh!

Also — It looks the lake level is down about a foot from last year at the same time.  That means that some of the big boats are probably going to have issues later in the summer, and we’ll have to be extra careful on the starts across from the yacht club.
