Wed	June 9	7PM	Bay	JAM	Hilbrich Electric #1 of 3	Y	7th	A triangle in light-to-moderate air. We sailed overcame the “slows” from the previous triangle.
Fri	June 11	7PM	Bay	JAM	Regatta De La Femmes	Y	4th	A great night for sailing. The women, headed by Skipper Kim Yamma, sailed very well.
Sun	June 13	10AM	Bay	JAM	Hilbrich Electric #2 & 3 of 3	Y	8th	A light-to-no air W/L 2x around for the first race. Second race postponed to another day — not enough wind!

Wed	June 23	7PM	Bay	JAM	Blake Family Heatwave #1 of 3	Y	6th	It was a breezy, puffy night. We probably could have reefed a little earlier and done a little better on the last upwind leg.
Thurs	June 24	7AM	Lake	SPIN	Interstate Race — Erie to Buffalo	N	N/A	We didn’t race, but we double-handed the delivery in 30kt west winds. A very fast downhill ride for 65 miles!
Sat	June 26	TBA	Lake	SPIN	Interclub –Buffalo Triangle	Y	3rd	Woo Hoo! An Interclub flag. It was light air olympic course and we sailed each of the five legs well. A very good start to the Interclub.
Sun	June 27	TBA	Lake	SPIN	Interclub — Buffalo to Colbourne	Y	5th	A light air upwind slog to Colbourne. We sailed into big holes, but were able to pull off a “photo finish” with a short spinnaker close reach, just stretching out in front of Venture to finish 5th.
Mon	June 28	TBA	Lake	SPIN	Interclub –Colbourne to Dover	N	N/A	Race canceled due to high west winds (20-30kts). The fleet stayed an extra day in Colbourne.
Tue	Jun 29	TBA	Lake	SPIN	Interclub –Dover Triangle (CHANGED to Colbourne to Dover)	Y	4th	45 mile upwind torture in 15-25kt winds and 6-8ft waves that turned into 65 miles because of the tacking. Some boats did not finish. We persisted even though we were pretty beat up after 11 hours of sailing!
Wed	Jun 30	TBA	Lake	SPIN	Interclub — Port Dover to Erie	Y	4th	Actually a perfect day of sailing. A broad spinnaker reach from Dover to Long Point and then a close reach with white sails all the way to Erie. We averaged about 6.8 knots for the whole race and finished in just over 5 1/2 hours (probably our best time for a crossing).
Woo Hoo! We finished 2nd in our Fleet and took home some Interclub Hardware (see the blog for a picture)

Sun	July 11	10AM	Lake	JAM	Blake Family Heatwave #3 of 3 and Hertel & Brown Aquatherapy #1 of 3	N	N/A	Logan’s birthday party on the peninsula. We actually watched the races from Beach 11.
Wed	July 14	7PM	Bay	SPIN	Hilbrich Electric #3 Make-up Date	Y	9th	Another light extremely light air triangle and we did even worse than last week. DFL. This light air stuff needs work!
Sun	July 18	10AM	Bay	SPIN	Urbaniak Brothers Summer Series #2 of 3 and #3 of 3	Y	4th & 4th	Two light air Spin races. Race 1 W/L 1x. Winds light and clocking. Wind built near the end and favored the boats at the back of the fleet. Race 2 W/L 2x. Winds steady direction but still light.
Wed	July 21	7PM	Bay	JAM	Hertel & Brown Aquatherapy #2 of 3	Y	7th	W/L in 8-10kts of breeze.  A beautiful night for sailing.  We picked up several places on the upwind leg.  Beautiful sunset too!
Wed	Aug 4	7PM	Bay	JAM	Hertel & Brown Aquatherapy #3 of 3	Y	6th	Triangle in 5kts of wind.  Two good legs followed by a leg in which we just couldn’t get going.  Another beautiful sunset.
Wed	Aug 11	7PM	Bay	JAM	RCR Yachts Full Moon #1 of 3	Y	6th	Dying air W/L.  A beautiful night.  We sailed a lot better than our placing would indicate.

Wed	Aug 18	7PM	Bay	JAM	RCR Yachts Full Moon #2 of 3	Y	5th	A race that looked suspiciously light last Wednesday’s race!  Dying Air W/L to Mark B.  We sailed well despite the conditions.
Fri	Aug 20	8PM	Lake	SPIN	Night Lighthouse Race	Y	4th	A typical night lighthouse race.  Winds from 12kt to 0kts to 6kts.  We were beaten during the zero winds.
Sun	Aug 22	10AM	Bay	SPIN	Governor’s Cup & Mayor’s Cup	Y	3rd & 4th	2 W/L 2x around races in moderate air.  We sailed well and did well.
Wed	Aug 25	7PM	Bay	JAM	RCR Yachts Full Moon #3 of 3	Y	3rd	Long W/L.  Started in 10kts then a 35-knot gale blew through on the upwind leg.  We were lucky to finish, much less to finish 3rd!
